The rarest part of this
collection are sound Postcard Records edited in Poland
from early 60'. Postcard Records are different to FLEXI.
Postcards Records edited in
Poland weren't connected with papers or magazines.
Postcards Records are not transparent with few excepts
and usually are thick, not very
thin like flexi. And there is a Picture on many Postcards
Records. They are 7" size, in few cases smallest. Most are rectangle
or square. Most are playable on standard grammophone. Only some few old are with different speed. There were over 50 different editors in many cities and villages in Poland over 20 years. The biggest one was TONPRESS from Warsaw, in the beginnig called : Przedsiebiorstwo Wydawniczo-Poligraficzne "RUCH" ( shortcut : PWP "R"), later RSW, and Krajowa Agencja Wydawnicza (KAW). All these are pre-Tonpress Postcard Record and have following information : catalogue number, year of printing, and quantity. Second big editor is about ten years older and coming from Warsaw too. It's "Pracownia Pocztowek Dzwiekowych Z.Kwapinska" (PPD Z.Kwapinska). Sound Postcards edited by Tonpress have always PS, sometimes are in envelope,On the paper Postcard is the kind of plastic foil with sound recording. The most Postcards Records other editors are full from kind of plastic material but thick and usually not transparent, sometimes with PS or some drawings.
